We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to fill a locum position in General Medicine within New Mexico. This role involves performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments on an intermittent basis, offering flexible hours tailored to your availability. • Current Nurse Practitioner license in good standing
• Proven experience in general medicine or related fields such as family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery
• Strong clinical assessment skills, including interview techniques and physical evaluation (range of motion testing, muscle strength testing)
• Ability to perform interview‑based exams efficiently with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in documentation and report submission during or immediately after visits

• Previous experience with Compensation & Pension evaluations or military veterans’ healthcare
• Familiarity with government healthcare protocols and documentation standards
• Certification or experience in occupational health assessments

• Master’s Degree in Nursing or higher‑level Nursing education
• At least 2 years of clinical practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with general medicine background
• Prior experience working in a similar contractual or locum capacity is advantageous

• Own a private office within a 50‑mile radius of the designated locations (Silver City or Deming, NM; Hobbs, NM; Grants, NM)
• Willingness to work on a PRN basis, with flexible half‑day (4‑hour) or full‑day (8‑hour) shifts
• Ability to complete pre‑scheduled exams, submit reports, and perform administrative follow‑up tasks independently
• Valid vehicle and transportation arrangements for local travel within assigned areas
• No requirement for prescribing or treatment, strictly assessment and reporting tasks
