Job Summary

Coach and guide a team of employees to achieve optimum levels of productivity, quality and safety while meeting operational deadlines and budgets. The supervisor is responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, maintaining a motivational work environment, and taking corrective action for poor performance or unsafe behavior.

Key Accountabilities
  • Meet all production and distribution objectives and deadlines within the established budget.
  • Teach, coach and demonstrate work activities for team members.
  • Conduct performance reviews and disciplinary functions.
  • Coordinate, assign, and review work.
  • Direct staff on priority of work to be accomplished.
  • Ensure team receives instruction in safety procedures, equipment use, performance standards, disciplinary processes and company policies.
  • Maintain timely, effective, and professional communications with all internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Keep records and handle administrative duties as required.
  • Report any accidents or incidents within 24 hours to the Operations Manager.
  • Monitor working conditions regularly and take timely corrective or disciplinary action.
  • Apply problem‑solving techniques (e.g., 8D, 5 Why, Kaizen) to resolve personnel and quality issues.
  • Perform other duties assigned by Operations or Plant Manager.
  • Position works directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • Basic math and reading skills from high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Interpersonal skills to communicate with plant manager, sales staff, and warehouse personnel.
  • Ability to understand equipment and tolerances from experience.
  • Warehouse experience with forklift, packing, and measuring.
  • Leadership and team‑building skills, even from non‑business contexts.
  • Safety mindset.
Preferred Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2–3 years supervisory experience in a related field.
  • Knowledge of metals handling, staging, processing, packaging, and shipping.
  • First aid and CPR training.
  • Exposure to labor relations, safety programs, ISO standards, lean practices, and sales functions.
Job Compensation

$70 K plus gainshare and monthly incentive.
