Position Summary
Looking for a dependable, detail-oriented professional who takes pride in keeping spaces clean, safe, and welcoming. As a Commissary Custodian at White Sands Missile Range
, you’ll play an essential role in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness for a critical federal facility. With supervision, you will complete daily custodial tasks that support the comfort, health, and operations of staff and visitors. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, structured schedules, and being part of a mission‑driven environment.
A. Job‑Specific Duties
- Clean and restock kitchens and break rooms
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain restrooms
- Clean and disinfect toilets and drinking fountains
- De‑scale fixtures and surfaces
- Remove office trash
- Sweep, vacuum, wet mop, spray, and buff floors
- Spot clean and perform interior window cleaning
- Complete special projects as assigned by the supervisor
- Adhere to company dress code and professional appearance standards
- Complete all required annual health, safety, and training courses
- Report to work on time and remain alert during work and training hours
- Attend mandatory staff meetings and trainings
- Represent the organization in a positive, professional manner
- Build and maintain respectful working relationships
- Follow all organizational policies, ethical standards, and procedures
- Communicate and uphold the mission, ethics, and goals of the company
- Maintain required licensure or certification, if applicable
- Comply with all Health, Safety, Security, and Hazardous Materials policies (OSHA, SDS, HIPAA, Workers Compensation)
- Demonstrate respect for diversity and work effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds
- Carry and respond promptly to calls, texts, and emails on the work phone while on duty
- Operate a company‑owned or personal vehicle when required; company vehicles must be kept clean
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid New Mexico Driver's License required

- Office of Inspector General / CMMS Exclusions List
- Driving Record (MVR)
- Office of Personnel Management / Federal Investigative Services
- General Background Check

Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Ability to follow cleaning schedules and safety procedures
- Bilingual skills are not required, but are a plus
