Position Description & Qualifications Serco Inc. is seeking an Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer to design, secure, transform, and manage enterprise-level systems within large, distributed environments supporting mission-critical operations at the DMOC, Kirtland AFB. You will lead data center transformation to Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), implement secure architectures across mixed Microsoft/Linux environments, and drive automation, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies aligned to DoD and industry standards.
This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer an active DoD Secret security clearance, with ability to obtain Top Secret (TS) with SCI and SAP/SAR eligibility. In this role, you will:
* Overlook Data Center & IaaS Transformation
* Lead the transformation of physical data centers into on-prem IaaS capabilities offering virtualized networking, server, storage, and GPU resources.
* Design and maintain virtual storage clusters and perform physical-to-virtual (P2V) server conversions.
* Enterprise Architecture & Secure Services
* Design, implement, and sustain secure enterprise services in mixed Microsoft/Linux environments.
* Apply secure systems and architecture design principles using NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST SP 800-53, and NIST SP 800-160 in support of accreditation under RMF.
* High Availability & Disaster Recovery
* Engineer the environment for High-Availability (HA) and Data Recovery (DR); assist with development and execution of disaster recovery plans and continuity procedures.
* Create and manage virtual machine templates, resource pools, and share assignments for performance and capacity optimization.
* Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
* Implement and manage Microsoft-based PKI services, including certificate lifecycle, policy, and secure integration with enterprise services.
* Storage & Virtualization Platforms
* Engineer and operate SAN, NAS, and DAS storage solutions.
* Design, deploy, and maintain environments leveraging VMware (e.g., vSphere/ESXi, Power
CLI) and Microsoft Hyper-V, and Windows Server architecture.
* Operations, Automation & Analytics
* Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business needs, develop Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) and functional requirements, and translate them into technical solutions.
* Utilize scripting languages (Power Shell, Power
CLI, JSON, Bash, Python) to automate provisioning, configuration, compliance, and operational workflows.
* Deploy and leverage data analytics platforms to support system performance evaluation, network operations, and security monitoring. To be successful in this role, you will have:
* An active DoD Secret with ability to obtain TS/SCI and SAP/SAR eligibility.
* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.
* Experience:
* (preferred) 12-15 years integrating, securing, and managing systems in large, distributed enterprise environments.
* (preferred) 8-10 years supporting mission-critical environments for integration, security, and system management.
* (preferred) 4+ years leading physical-to-IaaS data center transformation.
* (preferred) 4+ years applying NIST secure architecture principles and supporting RMF accreditation.
* (preferred) 4+ years working with network, server, storage, and GPU virtualization technologies.
* (preferred) 4+ years designing/delivering secure services in mixed Microsoft/Linux environments.
* (preferred) 4+ years implementing/managing Microsoft-based PKI.
* (preferred) 4+ years deploying and using data analytics platforms for performance, operations, and security.
* Technical Proficiency:
* Expertise with VMware and Hyper-V virtualization technologies;
Windows Server architecture.
* Experience with SAN/NAS/DAS storage solutions and virtual storage clusters.
* Ability to create/manage VM templates, resource pools, shares, and perform P2V conversions.
* Scripting:
Power Shell, Power
CLI, JSON, Bash, Python.
Certifications
* Minimum upon hire:
Information Assurance Technician III (IAT III) certification per DoD 8570.01-M; must maintain continuing education (CPE) through the period of performance.
