Environmental Health Safety Specialist

Overview

New opportunity with a leading energy‑technology client seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support its project execution team.

This role supports day‑to‑day EHS compliance, safety oversight, environmental management, and continuous improvement efforts across operations. The EHS Specialist will help maintain a safe work environment, ensure regulatory adherence, and promote strong safety culture across the organization.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations
• Conduct regular audits and recommend corrective actions
• Perform risk assessments and implement hazard‑control measures
• Deliver safety training and promote a proactive safety culture
• Investigate incidents and near misses, implementing corrective actions
• Maintain and update emergency response plans and conduct drills
• Oversee waste management, hazardous materials handling, and sustainability initiatives
• Maintain accurate EHS records, documentation, and reporting
• Support continuous improvement of safety practices, policies, and performance

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Public Health, or related field
• 5+ years of EHS or related experience
• Strong understanding of EHS regulations, risk assessment, and safety programs
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH, CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred
