Staff Program Financial Analyst – Kirtland AFB

Full‑time position with the Test Technology Division of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) located on Kirtland Air Force Base. The role involves project accounting, budget tracking, cost analysis, and preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports for clients. The successful candidate must be a U.S. citizen capable of acquiring and maintaining a Secret DoD clearance.

• Compute monthly and quarterly financial reports to contract specifications.
• Track funding by ACRN and CLIN.
• Work with Project Managers to understand project variances and report reasons and solutions to corporate accounting.
• Provide e‑office support to Project Managers for project plan set‑up.
• Maintain the cost‑estimating workbook for proposals.
• Participate in preparation and final submittal of Task Order Response Packages.
• Set up new charge codes per Project Manager request.
• Create and maintain Task Order budgets.
• Create and maintain program‑plan financial forecast budgets within contract specifications.
• Support PMs with financial budgeting and cost analysis.
• Prepare cost estimates, perform quality control of client invoices, and inform Division Administrator of potential billing issues.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant project accounting or financial analysis experience.
• Strong skills in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of the Deltek Cost Point Accounting System is a plus.
• Good working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
• Basic familiarity with government accounting practices and ability to read government lines of accounting.
