Position Title:

Ski and Snowboard Instructor at Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort and Casino. Reports to Ski School Manager. No supervisory responsibilities.

• Teach skiing and/or snowboarding to guests of all ages, sizes, and ability levels according to PSIA/AASI doctrine.
• Provide information to guests about school products and the ski area.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive first impression.
• Explain and demonstrate hospitality behaviors and performance standards.
• Use technical skills to complete tasks to standard.
• Take ownership of problems and solve them when solutions may not be available.
• Request help from others when needed.
• Provide guests with directions and respond to comments/complaints professionally.
• Meet performance standards and key responsibilities as listed on SOPs.
• Respond to obstacles and find new ways to reach desired results.
• Act and take charge when absent guidance.
• Respond to change by applying talent and skills positively.
• Support achievement of quality goals and preserve property.
• Suggest improvements to performance.

• Physical requirements:
  
  ability to stand for several hours, walk, use hands to handle or feel, lift up to 50 lbs, work long hours during winter months.
• Proven record of dependability.
• Must pass pre‑employment drug screening and criminal background investigation.
• Mescalero Apache Tribal preference; bicultural experience preferred.

Essential functions include frequent standing, walking, leaning, stooping, kneeling, crouching, range of motion, lifting up to 50 lbs; occasional use of handheld communications devices.

Noise level is loud. Exposure to second‑hand smoke, possible biohazardous fluids, hostile environments with guests, high stress, adverse winter weather.
