Summary of ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate the activities of highly skilled Operators who monitor, control, and operate uranium enrichment equipment and other production‑related equipment at URENCO USA to produce enriched uranium while protecting the health and safety of the public and plant employees and preventing damage to plant equipment and structures.
Education & Experience Education- Bachelor's degree in science or a technical field or an equivalent of relevant industrial experience of at least 5+ years, which may be substituted for the educational degree requirement.
- U.S. Nuclear Navy Qualified Operator or Non‑Licensed Nuclear Power Plant Operator, U.S. Nuclear Navy Qualified Watch Supervisor, NRC Licensed Reactor Operator or Senior Reactor Operator.
- 5+ years of related work experience with at least three years of experience at a senior or supervisory level in a technical, chemical, or operations work environment.
- The work location for this position is Urenco USA, Eunice, NM.
- Work Schedule:
Professional work schedule with minimal night/weekend support. Some nights and weekend work may be required. Employees are also subject to call‑outs as needed. - Travel Required:
20% of the time or less as required. - Security Clearance Requirement:
Controlled Access Area (CAA) Access and an L or Q level security clearance is required. - Work Environment:
Radiological exposure expectations of < 100 mrem/yr. General office, plant production areas. This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc.
- Assures that UUSA is operating within established guidelines for company, state, and federal environmental regulatory compliance.
- Ensures safe operation of enrichment equipment and support equipment.
- Places priority on the formal training and development of subordinates and provides feedback and coaching to challenge and stretch individual skills to meet the needs of the shift team.
- Creates and communicates comprehensible reports dealing with complex issues and problems, and uses the findings to devise methods for improving processes.
- Manages and prioritizes daily actions as well as long‑term responsibilities while consistently producing excellent results.
- Manages tasks and processes methodically and accurately, verifying all work and correcting flaws and errors others may overlook.
- Demonstrates mastery of required job‑related knowledge and performance of essential job requirements, applying them to the nuclear industries’ standards, practices, and processes.
- Understands and possesses the manual dexterity to understand and safely operate complex mechanical devices and systems.

CompensationStarting at: $121,320 - $146,169 per year, with potential for higher pay dependent on candidate qualifications.
