UNM-Taos TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) Program is seeking a Tutor
Position Summary- Be available to tutor program students individually during arranged times. Support students to understand the math challenges they are facing, review, and discuss important math concepts. Support students' review for tests when necessary and weekly math assignments.
- Supports students in developing writing, math, word processing, study, and other academic skills.
- Maintains and updates confidential files and records, ensuring that ethical and legal guidelines are maintained.
- Research and select learning materials, textbooks, software, and equipment to facilitate tutoring; may design specific handouts, study, and related materials.
- Refers students to other agencies as appropriate.
- Serves as Campus Security Authority as outlined by the Clery Act.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications- Understand TRIO SSS Program student population (first-generation, low-income and/or students with documented disability) and unique challenges.
- One year of full-time college; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
