Eagle Nest Elementary School is seeking candidates for the position of Middle School Teacher for the 26-27 school year.

• $150 (non‑refundable) fee;
• Initial Application NMPED Online Licensure Portal;
• Official sealed transcripts reflecting completion of an Elementary bachelor's degree program from a regionally accredited college or university; includes:
  • 30 semester hours in Elementary education course work to include student teaching;
  • 6 semester hours in teaching reading for those who first entered any college or university on or after August 1, 2001;
  • 24 semester hours in the teaching field, e.g., language arts, social studies, math, etc.;
• Passage of the following PRAXIS exams:
  • Principles of Learning and Teaching:
    Grades K-6 5622;
  • Elementary
    
    Education:
    
    Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment 5017;
  • Teaching Reading:
    Elementary 5205;
• In particular, if you graduated and completed the portfolio for assessment from an NM ed prep program in 2024 or thereafter, you would only be required to pass Teaching Reading:
  Elementary 5205.
• OR…
• Possess a valid certificate issued by the national board for professional teaching standards for the appropriate grade level and type.
• Register for background/fingerprints for “Teacher Licensure”.

Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $55,000 to $79,504 Per Year
