TITLE: Educational Assistant
JOB GOAL: To implement instructional activities and programs as directed.
Qualifications- High school graduate
- Preferably college experience
- Experience working with children
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds
- Work with students individually, in small groups, or in large groups as necessary and as prescribed by the immediate supervisor.
- Demonstrate a continuous sensitivity to the needs of children to whom they are assigned.
- Carry out instructional or developmental activities suggested by the teacher, specialist, or others designated by the building administrator.
- Maintain competency and skills through various available offerings.
- Provide support with personal care needs of student(s) as required.
- Obtain and maintain CPI (Non Violent Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification as expected.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
To be established by the school board by August 10th.
HOURLY SALARY: $18.81 plus $1.00 for a certification from the NH Department of Education as a para educator II or as a teacher. An Educational Assistant who is certified as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) will receive a $3.00 per hour differential.
HOUR/DAY: 6.5
SCHOOL YEAR: 183 days/year
EVALUATION: Performance to be evaluated no less than annually by the building administrator and immediate supervisor(s).
