5 days per week, 11:30 AM – 7:30 PM, includes weekends

Embudo Valley Vineyards is a family‑owned winery located in the scenic Embudo Valley of northern New Mexico. We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and hospitality‑driven Wine Tasting Room Manager to oversee tasting room operations, staff leadership, and direct‑to‑consumer sales while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

This is a hands‑on management role combining customer‑facing hospitality with operational, administrative, and reporting responsibilities.

• Manage daily tasting room operations, including opening and closing procedures
• Deliver engaging, professional wine tasting experiences for guests
• Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate tasting room staff
• Exercise authority over staff scheduling, training, and performance
• Drive wine, wine club, and merchandise sales
• Oversee and operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system
• Perform daily cash handling, cash reconciliation, and end‑of‑day reporting
• Manage inventory ordering, tracking, and coordination with winery ownership
• Assemble charcuterie packs and oversee tasting accompaniments
• Pack and ship wine orders accurately and in compliance with regulations
• Prepare monthly and annual sales and operational reports
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and visual presentation of the tasting room
• Handle guest concerns and resolve issues professionally
• Support winery events, private tastings, and special promotions
• Update winery website content as needed
• Develop and promote weekly and monthly tasting room specials
• Assist with digital marketing and social media management (a plus)
• Ensure compliance with alcohol service laws and winery policies

• Previous experience in tasting room management, hospitality management, or retail management preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Passion for wine and guest experience (wine education a plus)
• Sales‑driven mindset with the ability to motivate staff
• Comfortable with reporting, basic data tracking, and administrative duties
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of operations
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working weekends
• Experience with website updates, digital marketing, or social media is a plus
