Position: Data Entry Clerk (Current GISD Employees Only) - Position Available for the 2026-2027 SY
Location: Santa Teresa

Enter school data into computer or onto magnetic tape or disk for subsequent data entry by performing the following duties:

Prepare data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information; establishing entry priorities.

Process documents by reviewing data for deficiencies, resolving discrepancies using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the principal for resolution.

Keeps track of received data and source documents.

Prepare and sort source documents, and identify and interpret data to be entered.

Enter alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents into computer following format displayed on screen, and enter necessary codes.

Verify entered data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data; purge files to eliminate duplication of data.

Compare data entered with source documents, or reenter data in verification format on screen to detect errors.

Maintain confidentiality with all documents data entered.

Make necessary corrections to information entered.

Compile, sort, and verify accuracy of data to be entered.

Keep record of work completed.

Transmit entered information into database.

File or route source documents after entry.

Respond to inquiries regarding entered data.

Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
