Assists In The Processing And Distribution Of All Supplies Through-Out The Hospital In A Timely And Efficient Manner. Assists All Departments And Inventoried Units In The Acquisition Of Stocked Supplies.

Responsibilities- Assists In The Inventory Control Of All Supplies Stored In Warehouse And On All Inventoried Units.
- Performs All Tasks On Materials Management Module In The Computer.
- Packs And Ships Equipment/Instruments For Repair Or Return. Ensures All Paperwork Is Properly Filled Out And Maintained.
- Ensures All Supplies And Equipment Are Properly Received And Distributed To Appropriate Departments On A Timely Basis.
- Drives A Standard Transmission Truck In Order To Deliver Supplies.
- Meets Performance Expectations For Customer Service, Teamwork, Resource Utilization, And Staff And Self Development As Outlined In Performance Review.
- Performs Other Duties As Assigned Or Directed To Ensure Smooth Operation Of The Department/Unit.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma Or G.E.D. Equivalency Necessary.
EXPERIENCE
No Prior Experience Necessary. Requirements for this position include operating a motor vehicle intrastate, with GVWR of 18,001 lbs or more. You must be compliant with all relevant Department Of Transportation regulations, including: successful passing of Road Test as directed by YNHHS, unless a current CDL is held. A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) that is current may obviate the Road Test.
You must have a current and valid driver's license (at least 21 years old, no active suspensions), and a current FMCSA Medical Examiner's Certificate on the National Registry. If you have a physical impairment that affects your ability to operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle safely, you must obtain a Skill Performance Evaluation (SPE) certificate. Be willing to provide requested documentation upon hire, including:
Annual Driver's Certification of Violations (signed), Medical Examiner's Certification Documentation (may need updating). The Driver's Certification of Violations form must be completed every 12 months. YNHHS will review your Motor Vehicle Report to ensure acceptable driving competency.
LICENSURE
1. Must maintain a valid Connecticut driver's license, have an acceptable driving record, and pass a forklift driving evaluation.
2. Ability to drive a standard transmission truck to deliver supplies.
