Overview

We are hiring immediately for part time GRILL COOK positions.

Location:

Connecticut College - 270 Mohegan Avenue, New London, CT 06320.

Schedule:

Part time. Hours and days may vary. Fixed Pay Rate: $22.55 per hour. Details provided upon interview.

• Prepares food and serves customers at the grill station in accordance with current applicable standards to ensure high-quality food service.
• Takes orders and prepares items requiring short preparation. Completes orders from steam tables and serves customers at multiple stations.
• Serves customers efficiently and courteously, ensuring food is at the correct temperature, attractive, and tasty.
• Uses established ticket-collection procedures during service and maintains records from the area worked during service times.
• Uses approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays and handles food safely in line with established safety standards.
• Stores foods in designated areas following standard wrapping, dating and food safety procedures.
• Cleans, sanitizes and maintains all assigned work areas, equipment and utensils to ensure sanitation standards are met.
• Resolves customer concerns and reports relevant information to the supervisor.
• Attends in-service and safety meetings. Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers.
• Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Performs other duties as assigned.

• Requirement:
  Prior cooking, food service, and food prep experience is preferred.
