Design Department is presently seeking highly motivated Skilled Designers with the ability to develop 3D product models and 2D design disclosure/drawing products for ventilation systems. These products are developed from system diagrams, design sketches, layouts, and/or concepts, manufacture, assembly, and test data. The candidate will interface with engineering, design, and operations while developing deliverable products and must possess sufficient written and verbal skills, problem‑solving ability, and the capacity to prioritize work.
If selected for an interview, you will be required to provide a portfolio demonstrating CAD work.
- High School diploma/GED or Vocational High School diploma
- 6+ years of relevant work experience
- Completed CAD training through an academic institution or prior employment experience using CAD
- Ability to check and mentor less senior people
- Completion of advanced CAD coursework, industry certification, or continuing education in mechanical/industrial design.
- 6+ years of hands‑on experience using advanced CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, CATIA, and NX to produce 3D product models and engineering drawings.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering design environment supporting ventilation systems.
- A portfolio demonstrating CAD work, knowledge of Microsoft products, familiarity with basic design practices/rules and CAD tools, ability to perform design‑related math functions, ability to read and interpret written instructions and drawings (blueprints), and the desire to develop skills through on‑the‑job experience and continued education to advance in the design profession.
- Knowledgeable with Design Standards, Military Specifications, Manufacturing Processes, Design for Six Sigma, Lean Design/Manufacturing.
