Responsibilities
  • Supervise a crew of 2–4 tower technicians on wireless construction sites
  • Work at heights up to 400’
  • Ensure full understanding and execution of the project’s scope of work
  • Read and interpret construction documents and site layouts
  • Maintain all jobsite safety protocols and lead daily toolbox talks
  • Inspect rigging gear and tools to ensure safe operation
  • Complete jobsite inspections and carrier/tower owner closeouts
  • Manage and maintain all required site documentation
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers to meet deadlines
  • Troubleshoot and resolve on‑site technical issues
  • Install and modify sector mounts, T‑booms, monopole platforms, and banding
  • Install DC cable, hybrid trunks, ice bridges, RRU/BBU equipment, and test RF components
  • Use alignment tools and ensure proper integration of tower components
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum 4 years of telecommunications tower experience
  • NWSA TT1 Certification required
  • OSHA 30, RF Awareness, Tower Rescue, and First Aid/CPR certifications preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a driving record check
  • Experience with DC power, fiber to RRUs, RF jumper plumbing, and mount construction
  • Capable of climbing up to 400 feet and lifting 75+ lbs
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Crane and rigging experience a plus
  • Must be able to travel and tow both enclosed and flatbed trailers
  • Background check and drug screening required during onboarding (per applicable laws)

Schedule
  • Full‑Time

Location

Based in Chicagoland area. Travel required for projects (home most weekends).
