- Friday: 8am - 3pm.
We are seeking motivated professionals to work as BHT/RBT in the Norristown area. The aides will provide support to children with emotional and behavioral disabilities in various settings including intermediate units, public, private, and charter schools.
Summary of Opportunity- Provide support and assistance to teachers by helping students with challenges outlined in their IEP assessment: ages 3-21 years old.
- Work one on one with students to ensure a safe, nurturing, and academically stimulating environment.
- Provide students with goal-oriented support that fosters independence and the ability to display socially acceptable behaviors in the school environment.
- Monitor students' change in moods and/or behaviors.
- Write case notes indicating students' daily progress.
- Ensure that diversity and commonality are valued.
- Experience working with children with behavioral challenges, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and/or autism.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalency.
- Ability to complete and pass clearances: FBI, Child Abuse (ACT 126), and Criminal.
- Must be able to produce current medical/health documents including: physical examination, Tuberculosis/TB Skin Test, CPR, and First Aid Level 2 certification.
- Establish a relationship with one of the nation's largest referral agencies for behavioral-health.
