Behavior Technician​/Therapist; BT

  - Friday: 8am - 3pm.

We are seeking motivated professionals to work as BHT/RBT in the Norristown area. The aides will provide support to children with emotional and behavioral disabilities in various settings including intermediate units, public, private, and charter schools.

• Provide support and assistance to teachers by helping students with challenges outlined in their IEP assessment: ages 3-21 years old.
• Work one on one with students to ensure a safe, nurturing, and academically stimulating environment.
• Provide students with goal-oriented support that fosters independence and the ability to display socially acceptable behaviors in the school environment.
• Monitor students' change in moods and/or behaviors.
• Write case notes indicating students' daily progress.
• Ensure that diversity and commonality are valued.

• Experience working with children with behavioral challenges, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and/or autism.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalency.
• Ability to complete and pass clearances: FBI, Child Abuse (ACT 126), and Criminal.
• Must be able to produce current medical/health documents including: physical examination, Tuberculosis/TB Skin Test, CPR, and First Aid Level 2 certification.
