Position Summary:
The Material Processor is responsible for the accurate and efficient handling, processing, and movement of automotive parts and materials within the warehouse. This position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods from receiving through shipping, supporting, and commitment to quality and timely delivery of automotive parts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Receive, inspect, and process incoming automotive parts and materials.
* Accurately sort, label, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
* Pick, pack, and prepare parts for shipment based on customer or internal orders.
* Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners safely and efficiently.
* Maintain accurate inventory records through scanning and warehouse management systems (WMS).
* Perform cycle counts and assist with periodic physical inventories.
* Ensure all materials are handled in compliance with safety, quality, and company standards.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
* Support continuous improvement efforts and participate in team meetings as required.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED required.
* Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred, especially in automotive parts distribution.
* Ability to operate or learn to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift certification a plus).
* Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
* Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and bending.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.
Work Environment:
* Fast-paced warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
* Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
* Team-oriented and safety-focused workplace culture.
