Ocean Import Specialist ; Korean Bilingual

About the Role

Our client is seeking a candidate to coordinate full-cycle ocean import shipments from origin countries to final destinations, manage import documentation and customs clearance, and communicate with carriers, brokers, agents, and internal departments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate full-cycle ocean import shipments from origin country to final destinations.
• Prepare and review import documentation for import customs clearance.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), FMC, and other regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with carriers, customs brokers, overseas agents, and internal departments.
• Track, trace, and monitor progress of shipments and deliveries to ensure timely processing.
• Issue delivery orders and coordinate final-mile delivery with trucking companies.
• Maintain accurate records and perform data entry in the internal system.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
• Korean & English bilingual.
• Experience in ocean import operations or international freight forwarding (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of ocean freight documentation, Incoterms, and customs processes.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Compensation

Salary: $50k to $60k
