LABORER/LABORER CDL – FULL TIME – HAZLET TOWNSHIPThe Department of Public Works is seeking qualified applicants for a permanent full-time.
Salary Range: $41,641.60-$48,588.80
Duties will include but are not limited to buildings and ground maintenance, grass cutting, operating a variety of motor vehicles including automated and rear load trash trucks, dump trucks and other equipment used in public works services, assisting in the snow and ice removal operations, collecting leaves, repairing potholes, and repairing stormwater systems. Applicants will be required to work scheduled and emergency overtime.
Applicants must process a valid Class B (CDL) license with air brake endorsement, or if hired, be able to acquire a Class B (CDL) license within one year. Driver history will be checked upon hire. Public works experience is not required. Applicants must have the ability to interact in a positive and effective manner with employees and the public.
Applicants will be required to submit to employment drug/alcohol screening, both pre-hire and randomly upon hire. All offers of employment are conditional; subject to the applicant agreeing to, and then passing, a background check that may include fingerprinting.
