Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age with a minimum of 3 years driving experience.

Hold a valid CDL Class A or B with Air Brakes, Passenger and School Bus endorsements or be willing to

obtain valid commercial driver’s license with proper endorsements. Training will be provided.

Must comply with all state and federal requirements pertaining to medical examinations and drug and

alcohol testing.

Must be fingerprinted and clear background check.

Must have good driving record as determined by the district.

Exhibit a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills with all stakeholders.

Knowledge of Rockaway Township roads.

Working Conditions

We offer a competitive starting hourly rate, starting at $30.00 p/h

Extra work is available: field trips, athletic events etc.

Selection Procedure:
Candidates being considered for the position will be contacted by the hiring administrator to schedule an interview and demonstration lesson as required by the position.

Starting Date: Immediately - As needed

Effective September 1, 2011, all employees of school districts must reside in the State of New Jersey, unless exempted under law. If you already work for the school district as of September 1, 2011, and you do not live in New Jersey, you are not required to move to New Jersey. However, if you begin your office, position or employment on September 1, 2011 or later, you must reside in New Jersey.

If you do not reside in New Jersey, you have one year after the date you take your office, position or employment to relocate your residence to New Jersey. If you do not do so, you are subject to removal from your office, position or employment
