The Florence Township School District Transportation Department is seeking Bus/Van Drivers and Transportation Aides for the  school year. The role involves ensuring the safe transportation of students to and from school, field trips, and extracurricular activities. Drivers are responsible for maintaining a safe environment on the bus and complying with all traffic and safety regulations.

• Operate school buses in accordance with traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Transport students following established routes and schedules.
• Ensure passenger safety, assist students with special needs, and maintain order.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus.
• Report maintenance needs.
• Follow procedures for loading and unloading students.
• Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and students.
• Participate in training to improve driving and safety skills.
• Maintain records of routes, mileage, and ridership.

• Valid New Jersey CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
• Clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent driving and communication skills.
• Ability to handle student behavior and assist students with special needs.
• Knowledge of safety procedures for school transportation.
• Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes.
