Java Capital Markets

Capital Markets Technology client is looking for a senior developer to join the Commodities Risk Services Technology team.

Responsibilities of this role includes but not limited to design, develop, maintain, test & support real-time risk management system for Commodities business.

The candidate is required to have strong technical knowledge of Java/Spring/Unix/DB and a solid foundation of design methodologies.

Candidate must be able to write highly functional and performant code in a structured manner.

Successful applicant will help enhance, build and deliver application components into Commodities Risk technology concerned with trading, pricing, risk, static/market data management & reconciliation.

The candidate is also expected to have sound business knowledge and experience working in capital markets technology.

Job Expectations:

• Design and build of new applications and/or work on existing applications

• Perform SDLC tasks such as design, develop, test, perform code review, write technical documentation, production deployment & support to meet business requirements

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and manage priorities independently and effectively

• Troubleshoot production issues and work with team members to effectively resolve problems

• Work with upstream, downstream, quants, middle office, QA/automation, EGS partners, and other technology/business teams as needed

• Motivated to learn and enhance the platform

Required Qualification:

• 7+ years of application development and implementation experience

• 5+ years of experience in Capital Markets

• 5+ years of experience in Java/Spring

• 5+ years of experience in Unix

• 3+ years of experience in DB (Oracle, SQL Server)

Desired

Qualification:

• Experience working on Commodities, Equities or similar asset classes

• Experience working on risk and quantitative models

• Experience working with caching technologies (Oracle Coherence or similar)

• Experience working with grid technologies (IBM Symphony or similar)

• Experience working on message based protocols (TIBCO, Solace or similar)

• Excellent verbal, written & interpersonal communication skills

• Strong attention to details, self-motivated & soundproblem solving skills

• Should be an excellent team player
