Job Type: Part-Time
Pay Range: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9am–2pm
About the ProgramSocial Clubhouse, Inc. is an adult partial care program providing day services and structured support for adults living with mental health conditions. Social Clubhouse has been serving the adult mental health community in New Jersey for over 20 years. We are expanding our continuum of care to include Outpatient (OP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) services, licensed by the New Jersey Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS).
These new levels of care aim to provide flexible, client-centered treatment to support recovery and community integration as well as to serve as a step down for our clients in the existing partial care program.
We are affiliated with Social Recovery Center, LLC, also based in Springfield, NJ which offers treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health recovery.

Position SummaryThe Social Clubhouse Kitchen Staff reports to the Assistant Program Director and is responsible for preparing and serving daily breakfast and lunch for program members, assisting with meal planning and food deliveries, and supporting a welcoming, respectful environment for all participants.
Key Responsibilities- Participation in weekly food purchasing and meal planning according to the CACFP food standards to ensure meals that meet criteria for reimbursement.
- Breakfast preparation begins daily at 8:30am and is served at 9:40am
- Breakfast cleanup including washing dishes, emptying garbage, wiping down tables and putting food away
- Lunch service preparation begins at 11:45am and is served at 12:40pm
- Lunch cleanup
- Afternoon coffee/snack service
- Special events menu planning
- Receive and put away food deliveries on a weekly basis
- Work as a team with other program staff to create a welcoming and respectful environment for members
- Food preparation: 1 year (Required)
- Minimum of one year of experience working with adults with special needs and/or mental health diagnoses
- Minimum of one year of experience preparing food in a commercial setting
- Ability to lift at least 30 lbs
- Prevocational experience with the special needs population; support will be provided to obtain certification within the first year if not already held
- NJ Food Handler’s Certification
- Valid driver’s license
- Paid Training
- Paid Sick Leave – up to 20 hours per calendar year
- Paid Holidays – up to 4 hours (6 observed holidays)
