Morris FOP Outreach Worker

Job Type/Status: Full Time

The Family Outreach Program (FOP) provides skill-building, psycho-education, case management, transportation and advocacy to children up to the age of 18 and their families who live in Morris County. FOP also connects families to available community resources and provides support in the application process. Services take place in the family's home or in their community for 3-6 months.

• Provide services to both English and Spanish speaking families and must be proficient in speaking, reading and writing in Spanish
• Hold a case load based on contractual requirements including meeting with families weekly, depending on their individual needs
• Facilitating quarterly parent-education groups
• Maintaining documentation according to program expectations for all assigned families
• Must be able to travel throughout Morris County as needed
• Attend community outreach events which sometimes take place on the weekends
• Partake in the on-call system rotation

• BA/BSW in social work or related social service field
• Proficient in Spanish
• Able to work a flexible schedule (evening work is required)
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Case Management experience and/or experience in providing in home/in community services is preferred
