AEPS Electric is a 23‑year‑old, licensed New Jersey electrical contractor specializing in commercial and industrial solar. We’re looking for a working Site Supervisor to lead our second crew—someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, knows how to lead people, and wants to grow with a tight, experienced team.
This is a hands‑on leadership role, not a clipboard‑only position. You’ll be working in the field while supervising a small crew on large, interesting projects.
About The Team- 11 field electricians, 4 office staff
- Project Manager and Field Supervisor both have 20+ years with the company
- PM is a former Field Supervisor—understands the field and supports crews

- Supervise and work alongside a crew of 2–5 electricians
- Lead commercial and industrial solar installations
- Ensure all work complies with NEC and OSHA standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
- Train and mentor crew members to meet AEPS Electric’s standards
- Coordinate with the Project Manager to keep projects safe, efficient, and on schedule
- Set the tone on‑site through professionalism, safety, and quality workmanship
- Commercial / Industrial electrical experience required
- NJ Licensed Journeyman preferred
- Strong working knowledge of NEC
- OSHA certification preferred (company will help obtain if needed)
- Proven leadership and communication skills
Comfortable working at heights and on rooftops - Proficient with electrical hand and power tools
- Valid driver’s license and clean background required
- A leader who isn’t afraid to work alongside their crew
- Crews help choose start times based on daylight and season
- Summer: as early as 6:30 AM
- Winter: as late as 8:00 AM
- Typically 8‑hour workdays, though hours may vary by project
- Overnight, nights, and weekends as needed
- $35/hour, negotiable based on experience
