Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent. (Some College or Trade School Preferred.)
2. Low Pressure Black Seal License.
3. EPA Universal Certification.
4. Required criminal history review, background check, and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
5. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Reports To: School Business Administrator/Facilities Manager

Job Goal: To provide high-quality maintenance and repair services by performing routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and executing preventative maintenance tasks on equipment and the facilities.

Performance Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Facilities Manager with implementing a Preventive Maintenance Schedule for Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical Systems.
2. Complete corrective action work orders and repairs that are assigned in a timely manner.
3. Coordinate, schedule, and supervise outside contractor repairs and maintenance.
4. Complete unit inspections as needed and maintain orderly documentation.
5. Repair issues, including HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Appliances, Custodial Equipment, etc.
6. Responds to Emergency Situations or After Hours Calls.
7. Recommends purchase of necessary equipment and supplies and maintains inventory.
8. Acts as an in-house technical resource.
9. Snow Removal of Sidewalks if needed.
10. Ability to climb and work in high places. (On Roofs, Lifts, or Ladders.)
11. Knowledge of Terminology, Symbols, and Sources of Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Plumbing engineering information pertaining to building construction.
12. Ability to operate a BAS. (Building Automation System.)
13. Knowledge of Building Systems, preferably in Mechanical, HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing trades.

Experience with Water Source Heat Pumps, Classroom Unit Ventilators, and Aaon Rooftop Units is Preferred.
15. Pre-diagnose and troubleshoot various building systems before scheduling necessary repairs.
16. Perform all other responsibilities and duties as may be assigned by the Superintendent of Schools and/or his/her designees.
