A Facility Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing the facilities and equipment used in the operations of a facility. They work with various tools and perform tasks such as electrical and plumbing repairs, HVAC maintenance, and equipment inspections.
Responsibilities- Perform routine inspections of equipment and facilities to identify and diagnose problems
- Perform electrical repairs and maintenance
- Perform plumbing repairs and maintenance
- Perform HVAC maintenance and repairs
- Perform carpentry work on buildings and equipment as required
- Perform handyman services
- Ensure that all equipment and facilities are maintained according to safety regulations and standards
Education and Experience
- 5 years of experience in facility maintenance and repair
- Good knowledge of safety regulations and standards
- Strong mechanical and technical skills
- Ability to use various tools and equipment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Facility Technicians work in various settings, including offices, manufacturing facilities, and warehouses & other businesses. They may work indoors or outdoors, and may be required to work in confined spaces or y may also be required to work on call, evenings, and weekends.
