Electrician​/Maintenance Technician Substitute

Position: Electrician/Maintenance Technician ($100 hr.) - Substitute
Location: Clementon

Reports To:

Facility Manager

Function:

Provide a safe, clean, and well-maintained school environment.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

At a minimum, must possess a New Jersey Journeyman license

Electrical Contractor License preferred

* Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience, including electrical work and general building repairs.

* Working knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, panels, troubleshooting, and code-compliant repairs.

* Experience in multiple trades preferred (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, painting, masonry, etc.).

* Valid driver's license with no serious violations.

* Ability to meet physical and health requirements.

* Successful criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship.

* Black Seal Boiler License and Asbestos Certification preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:

* Perform general maintenance and electrical repairs in accordance with all applicable codes and regulations.

* Ensure safe work practices and conditions at all times.

* Respond to emergency electrical and maintenance needs.

* Conduct inspections of electrical systems and equipment; report hazards or deficiencies.

* Maintain tools, equipment, and electrical supplies necessary to perform job duties.

* Work cooperatively with custodial and maintenance staff to support district operations.

Hours - This position has no set hours and operates on an on-call basis. Employees may set their work schedule to meet their needs, which can be days/nights/weekend

Non-Certified Staff (Substitute Custodian):
Hourly $ 100.00
