The role offers meaningful autonomy and expects ownership, with responsibility for building systems that remain reliable and serviceable long after install.
  • Lead hands-on installation of irrigation and low-voltage lighting systems from plan to operation, sizing, wiring, testing, and adjusting for performance and discretion.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues such as leaks, pressure imbalances, electrical faults, and on-site constraints while keeping installations robust and visually clean.
  • Program and calibrate controllers for efficient irrigation coverage and reliable performance.
  • Maintain clear, accurate documentation of site conditions, installed systems, adjustments, and future maintenance guidance.
  • Track materials and equipment needs, update project boards, and source components independently to support installation schedules.
  • Coordinate logistics with vendors and delivery partners, and communicate material needs and system concerns promptly to leadership.
  • Review call-time messages and arrive prepared for each day’s technical priorities.
  • Maintain vehicles, specialty tools, and equipment in clean, safe, ready-to-use condition.
  • Keep the shop and yard organized, with thoughtful storage of components, tools, and supplies.
  • Train and support junior staff in fundamentals, safe tool use, and preventive maintenance while working collaboratively with horticulture and installation teams.
  • Support planting, soil preparation, material load-in, and other hands-on installation tasks as part of executing established horticulture and design plans, with a primary focus on technical accuracy and system performance.

You’ll thrive here if you:

  • Enjoy working in a project-based environment where priorities evolve.
  • Value initiative, follow-through, and attention to detail.
  • Are comfortable collaborating across creative and operational teams.
  • Identify issues and propose solutions
Qualifications/Requirements

  • A methodical, organized approach to materials, documentation, and field work with clear communication and good judgment.
  • Comfort diagnosing issues and adapting details on site without compromising system performance or safety.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to manage physical and logistical demands of installation work, including moving, securing, and transporting materials and equipment.
