Asset Protection Specialist

Overview

Asset Protection Specialist at The Home Depot. The role is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in the assigned store or stores.

• Identify incidents of theft and fraud; review CCTV and exception reports; monitor store security; audit the Electronic Article Surveillance systems; and drive a shrink-elimination culture in the store.
• Prepare accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries; preserve evidence; interact with law enforcement and testify in criminal and civil court actions.
• Report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and perform job responsibilities in a manner that minimizes the risk of injury to associates, vendors, customers, and the Company.
• Demonstrate integrity at all times and respond to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates while remaining aligned with store-specific business objectives and key asset protection and operational responsibilities.
