Retail Display Logistics Job Description

The retail display logistics role focuses on getting in-store displays and promotional materials where they need to be, on time, set up correctly, and maintained to brand and retailer standards. It blends visual merchandising work on the sales floor with back-end logistics such as inventory, kitting, shipping, and coordinating with suppliers and stores.

Core responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate the flow of display materials (signage, fixtures, POP displays, refresh kits) from supplier warehouse or vendors to retail locations, including shipping schedules (UPS/Pantos) and delivery tracking.
  • Manage completion and compliance reporting working with both retail display vendors and 3rd party installation companies. Data will be presented to executive leadership on a weekly basis during peak product rollouts.
  • Manage warehousing, kitting, and staging of displays, including picking components, assembling kits, labeling, and preparing pallets or shipments for store rollout.
  • Oversee or support in-store setup and installation of displays so they meet planograms, brand guidelines, and retailer requirements, sometimes including hands‑on building of units and arranging product.
  • Maintain inventory records for display materials, track usage, and replenish or rotate displays according to promotions, seasons, and overstock priorities.
  • Coordinate with the BU, buyers/merchants, marketing, store operations, and vendors to align display timing with product launches, promotions, and available stock.
  • Manage installation and warehousing annual budgets by project and provide monthly burn rates to maintain fiscal compliance.

Skills and qualifications

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple rollouts, deadlines, and store calendars at once.
  • Knowledge of retail merchandising standards, planograms, and basic visual merchandising principles, such as sightlines, traffic flow, and brand presentation.
  • Ability to work with inventory and logistics systems (Warehouse Management Systems, spreadsheets, and retailer merchandising tools) to track stock, shipments, and store compliance.
  • Physical ability to lift, move, and assemble fixtures and displays, and comfort working in stores or warehouses.
  • Communication and collaboration skills to work with store teams, carriers, and suppliers and to provide clear instructions for store-level execution.
  • Knowledge of retail operations for key retailers like Best Buy, Costco, Sam’s Club and BJ’s Wholesale plus regional accounts.
  • Minimum 5 years working with retailers/display vendors/3rd party installation companies.
  • Ability to travel 30% - Domestic Travel.
  • Job is required to work out of LG’s US Corporate HQ office 5 days a week.
