Key Responsibilities- Lead and support the Gourmet/Deli team to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional customer service
- Take ownership of the Gourmet department’s daily workflow, organization, and presentation
- Use strong product knowledge to assist guests with gourmet selections, including cheese pairings with wine, beer, and spirits
- Help customers curate personalized gift baskets and gourmet assortments
- Ensure proper stock rotation, product freshness, labeling, and removal of expired items
- Maintain attractive, well‑organized displays and merchandising standards
- Train, mentor, and support team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
- Stay informed on trends in gourmet foods and share knowledge with the team
- Communicate department needs, challenges, and opportunities clearly to store leadership
- Passion for gourmet food, including cheese, specialty foods, and thoughtful pairings
- Proven customer service and communication skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences
- Leadership experience or demonstrated leadership potential in a retail or food‑service environment
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, hands‑on approach
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑volume setting
- Basic computer skills for inventory, scheduling, and internal communication
Reliable team player with a positive, solutions‑oriented mindset - Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Must be at least 18 years old
