• Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including all required system startups, cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day; responsible for opening the back door for deliveries.
• Handle product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolve customer issues and answer questions.
• Share customer service best practices and Walgreens service traits with all team members.
• Hold store keys to open and close without management as necessary.
• Assist and coach other team members with the warehouse and vendor ordering process, including opening backdoor for vendor deliveries.
• Register all related sales on the assigned cash register, including records of scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids.
• Assist manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions on order release day and assist in reverse logistics.
• Assist in evaluating and developing displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise; complete resets and revisions.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and on-hand quantities across departments.
• Ensure the "Outdate" program is followed with team members.
• Handle basic department pricing and daily price changes; ensure proper signage is displayed and local regulation compliance tasks are completed.
• Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash reports, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payments.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to keep the store clean, neat, and orderly; request repairs as needed.
• Separate food items appropriately and perform stock rotation using FIFO method.
• Possess working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
• Assist at Pharmacy out window as requested.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Conduct bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

• Attend training and complete required PPLs requested by Manager.

• Serve as liaison between management and non-management team members, communicating assigned tasks when store management is not present.
• Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)

• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• Consideration of employment for qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
• Valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
