Lab Technician

The Fountain Group
is currently seeking a
Lab Technician for a prominent clientofours.

This position is located in
Bridgewater, NJ.Details for the position are as follows:

Job Description:

** 100% ONSITE:
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm**

• Under the supervision of a Senior Technician or Chemist, the Technician will be expected to perform the following functions with a high level of initiative and independence:
  • Formulation and synthesis of polymers
  • Testing of adhesives
  • Evaluate, collect, and record data
  • Participates in organizing and performing experiments using established procedures while summarizing and reporting results in a laboratory notebook
  • Uses a computer to enter data/information including charts and tables for communication of project results/details
  • Involved in making adhesives from chemical ingredients
  • Prepares coated samples using lab coating equipment and tests performance characteristics of coated substrates using established procedures

Qualifications:

• Required:
  • BS (open to fresh graduates in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering), May consider HSD/AS with 2+ years relevant lab experience
    • INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE HIGHLY PREFERRED
  • Evaluate, collect, and record lab data; summarize and report results in a laboratory notebook
  • Testing / development / analysis of chemical ingredients
  • Physical and performance testing
  • Sample prep
  • Experience working with chemicals in a lab
  • PPE/ safe laboratory practices/protocols
  • Microsoft Office products - Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Preferred:
  • Formulation and synthesis of polymers
  • Testing of adhesives
  • Experience tests performance characteristics of coated substrates using established procedures

Compensation: $20-35 depending on experience ($25 max pay for fresh graduates)
