Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM (occasional 6:30 AM start + optional rotating Saturdays)

Compensation: $65,000-$75,000 base + bonus + overtime

About the Role
  • We are seeking a highly professional, hands‑on Lead Quality Inspector to serve as the primary Quality representative on first shift. This is a highly visible, floor‑focused leadership role that interfaces daily with production leadership, senior management, and external auditors.
  • You will supervise and guide a team of Junior Inspectors, make real‑time quality decisions, conduct inspections across manufacturing lines, and uphold the highest standards of GDP, GCP, and cGMP compliance.

  • What You'll Do Quality Leadership & Floor Presence
  • Act as the primary Quality representative during first shift and audits.
  • Conduct daily Gemba walks with production leadership; perform on‑the‑spot inspections.
  • Provide floor‑level supervision, coaching, and problem‑solving for a team of Junior Inspectors.
  • Maintain a visible, professional presence with strong verbal and written communication.
  • Inspection & Documentation
  • Perform in‑process and final product inspections across manufacturing lines.
  • Verify production line clearance and readiness before use.
  • Sample, test, and determine disposition of materials and finished goods.
  • Execute rework protocols and support product disposition activities.
  • Complete high‑volume documentation aligned with GDP/GCP requirements.
  • Review other inspectors' documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Systems & Sampling
  • Enter and manage samples in Lab Ware / LIMS.
  • Support liquid batching documentation and associated quality oversight.
  • Collect product, reserve, and customer samples per specifications.
  • Identify, document, and elevate non‑conforming materials following hold procedures.
  • Team Coordination & Development
  • Assign and balance workload across inspectors during the shift.
  • Step in to provide coverage for inspections, documentation, or system entry.
  • Lead training and onboarding of new hires; support competency development.
  • Promote a strong quality culture and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Participate in daily production and quality meetings.
  • Work closely with senior management and serve as a credible Quality representative during audits.
  • Support validation activities, trial runs, inspection readiness tasks, and operational documentation.
  • Performance Expectations

  • Who We’re Looking For

    Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of inspection or quality experience in a regulated industry.
  • Proven professionalism, strong communication, and exceptional documentation skills.
  • Hands‑on floor experience making real‑time quality decisions.
  • Experience supporting audits or representing Quality to leadership.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
