Quality Control Technician

Job Summary

As a Quality Control Technician at Arcosa Aggregates, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our materials. Your primary responsibility will be to sample and conduct testing on aggregates to ensure they conform to the appropriate standard test methods.

• Actively promote safety
• Sample and conduct testing on aggregates to ensure compliance with State, local and customer specifications
• Maintain and document database; report findings to supervisor
• Promptly and accurately complete testing and report findings
• Routinely monitor stockpiles for segregation and contamination
• Perform daily inspections of lab and equipment and maintain as necessary
• Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
• May be required to travel to other sites
• Other duties or responsibilities as assigned

• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
• Positive attitude
• Detail oriented and well organized
• Self‑motivated working independently, and eager to participate in a team setting
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and relevant software packages
• Can lift up to 80 pounds
• Valid driver license
• Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk for an extended period
• Ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
• Basic math skills are vital for accuracy
• Aggregate testing experience preferred but not required
• High school diploma or GED equivalent

While most areas have air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.

• $21.05 - $28.31 per hour
