Registered Nurse- Per Diem- Preop​/Phase​/PACU- MMC Ambulatory Surgery Center at Rockaway

Atlantic Heath System is seeking an experienced RN to work per-diem for the PACU/Preop/Phase II Recovery at the MMC Ambulatory Surgery Center in Rockaway, NJ to work variable shifts between the hours of 6AM - 6PM.

Responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help treat patients undergoing ambulatory surgery and other procedures including but not limited to:
Colonoscopies, Ortho sports and minor trauma, Ortho hand, GYN, Laparoscopic, Plastics, Urology, General, Rectal, Podiatry, Pediatrics. Monitors patients, administers medications, keeps records, consults with healthcare providers, educates patients and more.

• Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports in EPIC.
• Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
• Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
• Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
• Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members.
• Records patient vital signs and medical information.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
