Outpatient LPN

Position Summary

To provide quality nursing care through the application of the nursing process and established guidelines of nursing practice.

• Initial Intake
• Patient Room Preparation, Before and After Care
• Patient Order
• Point of Care
• Patient Safety
• Attend Staff Meetings

Physicians and residents at various levels of training, patients, patient’s families, outpatient office staff personnel, some HMC dept. personnel, representatives from laboratory pharmaceutical companies.

• Office medical Director
• Nurse Manager and or Nurse Supervisor
• Practice manager

Required: Nursing Diploma

Preferred: Associate’s Degree in Nursing

Required: None

Required: Current New Jersey LPN License, CPR certified or obtain certification within 6 months

Required: Good communication and interpersonal skills, decision making ability, telephone etiquette, detail and multitasking oriented, ability to handle a high volume of patients
