We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians in providing high-quality patient care.

Job Summary

Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care.

Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on the patient’s individual needs.

Identify patient needs and establish priorities for care through comprehensive assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized care plans based on initial and ongoing assessments of assigned patients.

Initiate assessments based on patient problems, physician medical diagnoses, and the functional health framework.

Perform therapeutic nursing interventions.

Manage patient care effectively and efficiently.

Document care in accordance with established standards of practice, considering patient acuity and clinical priorities.

Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of innovative care delivery practices.

Provide patient-centric care that aligns with professional nursing practice models.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Schedule

Shifts are scheduled from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend required. At least one holiday per season is expected. This role does not require on-call duties. The assignment duration is a minimum of 13 weeks, with 1-2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required. BLS, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications are mandatory.

Experience in Mother/Baby and/or Nursery is preferred.

This position is in a Labor, Delivery, Postpartum Recovery (LDPR) Unit, where both mother/baby and Labor & Delivery services are provided. Patient ratios are as follows:

Mother/Baby: 1 nurse to 3-4 patients

Labor patients: 1 nurse to 2 patients
