About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Bakery-Production to join our team at our Swedesboro bakery. As the Senior Manager of Production, you will be accountable for developing and executing operational strategies that ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing performance across a 24/7 bakery. This role is vital to achieving production goals, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a strong culture of safety, food quality, and employee engagement.

    Standard business hours with required flexibility

    Required as business needs dictate
Compensation
  • Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000
Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)
  • Lead daily manufacturing operations ensuring strong performance in safety, food quality, production throughput, waste reduction, and training.
  • Develop and implement strategies, processes, and programs aligned with Aspire Bakeries’ operating system and long-term business goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize line speeds, changeovers, waste, and operational efficiency.
  • Manage departmental budgets, labor planning, and resource allocation while supporting annual budgeting processes.
  • Build, coach, and develop high-performing teams through effective performance management, recognition, and engagement.
  • Ensure full compliance with GMPs, regulatory standards, internal audits, and audit-ready facility conditions.
  • Provide leadership in supporting capital projects, digitization efforts, operational upgrades, and future capacity planning.
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred;
    Associate degree with strong related experience accepted.
  • 5-7 years of experience in food, beverage, bakery, pharmaceutical, or other GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
  • 3+ years of plant leadership experience (line-level or area-level leadership acceptable).
  • Proven ability to lead in a 24/7 production environment.
  • Strong communication, leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and SAP, with strong analytical and reporting abilities.
  • Ability to read schedules, safety rules, work instructions, and write reports or present to groups.
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
  • Direct bakery production experience (mixing, proofing, baking, packaging).
  • Working knowledge of Spanish to support a diverse workforce.
  • Formal CI training (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
  • Experience supporting capital projects or major line upgrades.
