Maintenance Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our manufacturing equipment and facilities. Your expertise will play a vital role in maintaining our commitment to quality and efficiency.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facilities.
• Diagnose mechanical issues.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime during maintenance activities.
• Conduct inspections of equipment to ensure operational safety and compliance with regulations.
• Assist in the installation of new equipment as needed.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting, PLCs, as well as mechanical.
• Determine the material, equipment, and supplies to be used.
• Train maintenance personnel for maximum productivity.
• Maintain all equipment manuals, equipment warranties, and tool inventories.
• Review work orders to ensure proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot production and facility equipment. Repair and/or replace damaged parts.
• Analyze mechanical/electrical and operational problems and take corrective action.
• Perform preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Demonstrate understanding of systems needed to run a GMP facility, such as: HVAC, electrical, process systems, plumbing/piping, general maintenance, pest management, both interior and exterior.
• Advise supervisors of recurring equipment malfunctions and the corrective action required.
• Work with minimum supervision to complete assigned tasks.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, climb ladders, and work outdoors as needed.
• Be open to a shift transition and overtime.
• Able to work after hours and on call as needed; weekend shift support and shutdowns.

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in troubleshooting machinery.
• Experience in a GMP-regulated environment is desired, and the applicant must have worked as a mechanic for manufacturing equipment.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of previous experience as a Mechanic in the pharmaceutical liquid/solid dosage environment is preferred.
• Facility maintenance experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and supervise maintenance tasks when required.
• Frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, stooping, and working/extending overhead, including:
• Frequent physical demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Using ladders up to 20 ft and working from heights.
• Climbing a ladder and working from the lift
• Strong technical ability and mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions.
• Strong math and reading skills essential.
• Must have strong verbal and written command of the English Language.
