Position Summary:
The QA Technician I plays an important role in ensuring food safety and product quality in our facility. This position supports the Quality Assurance team by performing routine quality checks, product sampling, and documentation. Key Responsibilities:
- Follow all GMP, PPE, safety, HACCP, and sanitation guidelines
- Perform finished product inspections and sampling for customer testing (Hold & Release)
- Collect and prepare product samples according to established QA and customer procedures
- Complete required logs and documentation for sampling and testing
- Conduct seal integrity tests on finished products and report issues to production teams
- Identify, document, and report quality non-conformances for immediate follow-up
- Maintain cleanliness and water levels of the Haug tank throughout the shift
- Enter sample submissions, leaks, and non-conformances into the QA system
- Support other QA tasks as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Comfortable working in a cold, wet, fast-paced, 24/7 production environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb stairs multiple times per shift
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
While performing the duties of this job, this position entails use of ladders and catwalks to reach production equipment, regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to extreme cold for extended periods of time. The associate frequently works in high, precarious places. The associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Compensation & Benefits:
