Material Handler

Location: Hightstown

The Material Handler receives and stores all raw materials in the warehouse. The material is distributed to the pressroom according to customer specifications and order allocation.

Essential Functions include the following:
Other duties may be assigned.
Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications.

Reviews the Certificate of Compliance / Certificate of Analysis of label stock.

Reads the production schedule and customer order to determine material to be distributed.

Moves material from receiving and production areas to the warehouse.

Sorts and places materials on racks according to a predetermined sequence of size, type and product code.

Fills requests for materials and distributes them to the pressroom in concert with the demands of the schedule.

Marks raw material with identifying labels.

Records amounts of materials received and fills out receiving records.

Drives and operates forklifts and power pallet jacks.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience; or equivalent of education and experience.

Skills/Aptitudes:

Ability to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of number; to add and subtract numbers.

Ability to use AS400 system.

Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instruction.

Ability to read and comprehend documents such as C of C / C of A, safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.

Ability operate forklift and power pallet jacks.
