POSITION SUMMARY:

U.S. Auto Force, a division of U.S. Venture, Inc., brings together more than 100 years of experience as an industry leader in the distribution of tires, undercar parts, and lubricants to independent tire retailers, auto repair shops, and automotive dealerships. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 9:00am-5:30pm with rotating Saturdays. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs and may require overtime.

Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and stock tires and auto parts in a fast-paced warehouse environment using industrial vehicles such as a forklift or picker equipment.
  • Use scanners to locate and store tires and assist with inventory control.
  • Lift 50 pounds consistently throughout the shift and occasionally up to 80 pounds; perform team lifts or use mechanical equipment when handling commercial tires.
  • When working with barrels or industrial/agricultural tires, exert a pushing force of up to 40 pounds.
  • Work at heights up to 25 feet on tall stock racks and operate equipment safely.
  • Be on the move and able to stand for extended periods; work overtime as needed.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety and adhere to all safety policies and operating procedures.
  • May assist other departments (e.g., ecomm, inventory, and will call) depending on business needs.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical demands:
The employee must meet qualifications to operate equipment safely with or without reasonable accommodation. Frequently lift products weighing up to approximately 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 80 pounds. Exert pushing force up to 40 pounds when handling barrels and tires. Handling of commercial tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) may require team lifts or mechanical assistance.

Protective equipment required: steel or composite toe boots, safety vest, safety harness, seatbelt, and SRL (self-retracting lifeline). All equipment is provided by U.S. Auto Force except for footwear. Adherence to safety and manufacturing guidelines is required.

Work environment:
May be exposed to weather conditions; noise level is usually moderate. Fumes from tires and occasional car parts and lubricants may be present.

Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years or older to operate equipment
  • 1 year of warehouse/logistics or relevant experience
  • Ability to safely lift 50 pounds consistently and occasionally up to 80 pounds
  • Ability to exert a pushing force of up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to work at heights of up to 25 feet while operating equipment
  • Abide by all company safety policies, state and federal transportation regulations, and manufacturing guidelines
  • Ability to pass forklift certification
  • Willing to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to follow instructions and safe operating procedures
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test
