Pay Range for this position is: $88,000-$132000 plus annual bonus, depending on experience and geographical location.
Job SummaryThe Maintenance Planning, Scheduling, and Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the efficient planning, scheduling, and coordination of all maintenance activities within the manufacturing facility. This role also oversees the management of maintenance‑related inventory, including spare parts and critical equipment components, to minimize downtime and support continuous manufacturing operations. This position plays a key role in enhancing equipment reliability, optimizing resources, and supporting proactive maintenance strategies.
Key Responsibilities Maintenance Planning & Scheduling- Develop and manage the preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance schedules using the facility’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (eMaint).
- Collaborate with maintenance supervisors, technicians, and production staff to plan and prioritize work orders with minimal disruption to operations.
- Review maintenance work requests and ensure proper scope, labor, materials, and tools are identified.
- Monitor backlog and ensure maintenance KPIs (e.g., PM compliance, schedule adherence) are met.
- Coordinate shutdowns, turnarounds, and special projects with cross‑functional teams.
- Manage and schedule vendors as needed for inspections, instrument calibrations, emergent repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Serve as the administrator for the eMaint CMMS, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all maintenance data and records, and providing training and support to all personnel.
- Oversee and manage the inventory of maintenance parts, tools, and materials to ensure availability and minimize stockouts.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts and audits.
- Establish and manage min/max levels, reorder points, and safety stock for critical spares.
- Work closely with suppliers to order and expedite parts when needed.
- Evaluate inventory costs and optimize stock levels without jeopardizing operational reliability.
- Lead and mentor a team of planners, inventory clerks, or storeroom personnel.
- Provide training and guidance on best practices in planning, scheduling, and inventory control.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and accountability within the maintenance team.
- Develop and implement planning and inventory control processes that align with lean manufacturing and TPM principles.
- Analyze maintenance performance data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements in maintenance operations.
- Support audits and inspections by maintaining accurate documentation and reports.
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, and inventory control in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience working with CMMS software.
- Knowledge of industrial equipment, preventive maintenance strategies, and spare parts management.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and maintenance data analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing setting.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing, 5S, and TPM principles is a plus.
- Primarily office‑based with frequent time spent on the plant floor.
- May require occasional overtime or weekend work during critical shutdowns or emergencies.
