Production Operator I – 3pm-11:30pm at Comar

Hours:

full-time position.

What You Will Do

• Accurately inspect and pack products to ensure customers receive consistent, quality items.
• Perform visual and dimensional sampling to determine overall acceptability of ware.
• Label ware and track quantities.
• Communicate problems to process technicians or supervisors.
• Operate equipment effectively as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Adhere to and communicate all plant Health, Safety, and Quality guidelines and GMP.
• Other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities & Skills for SQF Certified Sites

• Basic understanding of cGMPs and Good Hygiene Personnel Practices.
• Notify SQF Practitioner or Supervisor of repairs or adjustments required.
• Perform basic sanitation functions.
• Conduct duties required by Company, regulatory requirements, HACCP, and SQF.
• Notify SQF Practitioner/Quality Manager or other management personnel of any Food Safety or Quality issues.
• Identify problems related to Food Safety and Quality through production/quality checks.
• Initiate actions to prevent nonconformities and execute HOLD SOP.
• Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product until deficiencies are corrected.
• Follow Food Fraud/food Defense Policies while on company property.
• Understand all Company policies, including GMPs, safety policies, HACCP, and SQF.

Safety and Cleanliness

• Adhere to safety policies.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Wear company-issued PPE such as uniforms, gloves, hairnets.

Who We Are Looking For A Comar employee who will represent the customer and be the consumer’s advocate. Are You?

• High School or Vo-Tech School graduate or equivalent.

Preferred

• One to three months related experience and/or training.

Knowledge of or previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus!

The compensation entry point for this role is $17.50 an hour. We reserve the right to offer compensation above the stated salary based on experience, skillset, relevant industry experience, and complexity.
