Production Operator I – 3pm-11:30pm at Comar

Hours:
full-time position.

What You Will Do- Accurately inspect and pack products to ensure customers receive consistent, quality items.
- Perform visual and dimensional sampling to determine overall acceptability of ware.
- Label ware and track quantities.
- Communicate problems to process technicians or supervisors.
- Operate equipment effectively as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Adhere to and communicate all plant Health, Safety, and Quality guidelines and GMP.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Basic understanding of cGMPs and Good Hygiene Personnel Practices.
- Notify SQF Practitioner or Supervisor of repairs or adjustments required.
- Perform basic sanitation functions.
- Conduct duties required by Company, regulatory requirements, HACCP, and SQF.
- Notify SQF Practitioner/Quality Manager or other management personnel of any Food Safety or Quality issues.
- Identify problems related to Food Safety and Quality through production/quality checks.
- Initiate actions to prevent nonconformities and execute HOLD SOP.
- Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product until deficiencies are corrected.
- Follow Food Fraud/food Defense Policies while on company property.
- Understand all Company policies, including GMPs, safety policies, HACCP, and SQF.
- Adhere to safety policies.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
- Wear company-issued PPE such as uniforms, gloves, hairnets.
- High School or Vo-Tech School graduate or equivalent.
- One to three months related experience and/or training.
- Read, understand, and follow documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, and procedures.
- Apply basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide.
- Carry out instructions in written, oral, or visual/diagram form.
- Be self‑motivated, conscientious, results‑oriented.
- Work independently and in a team environment.
- Communicate job‑related functions with other employees, customers, and auditors.
- Effectively communicate with supervisors.
- Read, write, and comprehend information provided.
- Stand most of the shift.
- Use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, crouch, bend, twist; only occasionally sit.
- Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; heavier amounts need equipment assistance.
Knowledge of or previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus!
The compensation entry point for this role is $17.50 an hour. We reserve the right to offer compensation above the stated salary based on experience, skillset, relevant industry experience, and complexity.
