Machine Operator Lead – OBE

The Machine Operator Lead is focused on leading production and reports to the Production Manager. This role requires availability from 5pm – 5am.

This role is perfect for an individual who is safety conscious, self‑motivated, flexible with shift start and end time, and able to work in the climate conditions of the region.

• Managing material flow, ensuring glass is allocated effectively to all work centers (glass always available in front of machines)
• Prioritizing Hots for truck and backlog to ensure consistent, timely, and complete orders.
• Identifying bottlenecks and escalating issues to Supervisor.
• Overseeing movement of glass and finished goods, sending glass to recut when not located.
• Training Material Handlers and Machine Operators and serving as a reliable mentor.
• Moving glass sheets from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks or wood crates.
• Safely operating dollies, cranes, pallet jacks, glass cutters and other equipment.
• Attaching appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
• Inspecting product for any abnormalities and defects to notify supervisors.
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
• Performing other assignments as required by management.

• Elementary English: speak/read/write to communicate well and read basic paperwork/labels.
• Ability to work OT as needed.
• Ability to work flexible schedule (Monday to Friday and Saturday as needed).
• Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
• Teamwork, collaborating effectively with other team members.
• Problem solving, identifying and resolving minor issues that may arise.
• 4-5 years in Industrial Manufacturing.
• 2 years experience leading teams.
