, located in Saddle Brook NJ, is seeking a Tower Operator to join our team. TE Wire & Cable is recognized as an industry leader, known for high-quality thermocouple wire & cable products delivered with short lead times and competitive prices.

Role Overview:
The Tower Operator operates and maintains saturant towers for coloring and insulating fibrous materials, ensuring efficient and quality production through proficiency with certified tower lines.
Responsibilities include:
- Loading reels of wire onto payoff stands and empty reels onto take-up.
- Lacing wire over pulleys, passing through a compound receptacle, oven, and to the take-up.
- Filling receptacles with specified saturant types.
- Setting controllers for required operating temperatures.
- Starting machines, checking wire quality, and making adjustments for smooth saturant application.
- Mixing materials as per specifications.
- Maintaining quality standards and operating machines at specified speeds.
- Managing all activities on their machine during their shift.
- Setting up machines for production cycles and adjusting machine settings.
- Monitoring machine functions and troubleshooting issues.
- Checking output for errors or flaws.
- Performing other tasks as assigned.
Skills required:
- Knowledge of process equipment, tooling, and procedures for safe, productive operation and maintenance.
- Understanding of production procedures and preventative maintenance.
- Adherence to safety regulations.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills.
- Physical stamina and strength.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus.
Language skills:
Effective communication in English (verbal & written).
Qualifications:
Preferred: 1-2 years manufacturing experience.
Required:
High School Diploma or GED.
Shift availability:
3rd shift:
Monday – Friday
